In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we hosted Author Ismee Williams as part of our Author Circle.

On Wednesday, October 11th, we had the pleasure of hosting Pediatric Cardiologist and Author, Ismee Williams. She delighted us with a reading and Q&A about her newly published young adult novel “Water in May”.

Ismee Williams is a pediatric cardiologist who practiced at Columbia Medical Center for 15 years. As the daughter of a Cuban immigrant, partially raised by her abuelos, her background helped her understand the many Mari’s she met along the way. Water in May is her first novel. A portion of her profits from Water in May will go towards pediatric cardiology research

We were so honored to have Ismee join our Author Circle and contribute to Hispanic Heritage Month with her reading.

Thank you Ismee for sharing your time and novel with us at Operation Exodus.
