Coming Soon:The Uptown Arts Stroll 2017

The Uptown Arts Stroll is NoMAA’s annual month-long art festival. For the entire month of June, Northern Manhattan’s diverse roster of artists floods uptown’s businesses and institutions, open spaces, parks and other venues with their inspiring art.

The Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) is a non-profit arts service organization that cultivates, supports and promotes the works of artists and arts organizations in Northern Manhattan. They are also the organizers of the growing NoMAA Uptown Arts Stroll which is taking place in the month of June.

For the past 14 years, local artists and leaders have partnered to build a stronger community through the arts in Northern Manhattan. The Uptown Arts Stroll is an annual showcase for this effort, giving a voice to an arts community that is growing in the often overlooked and quickly gentrifying neighborhoods of West Harlem, Washington Heights, and Inwood.

Since 2003, the Uptown Arts Stroll has grown from a one-day event to a month-long celebration offering a wide variety of arts and cultural events north of West 135th Street. TheNorthern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) in collaboration with local artists, businesses, community leaders, and institutions, has produced the Uptown Arts Stroll since 2008.

The 2017 Uptown Arts Stroll will feature open studios, art exhibitions, concerts, literary events, and performances during the month of June, throughout Northern Manhattan from West 135th Street to West 220th Street.

The 15th annual Uptown Arts Stroll opening reception will feature performances by the Harambee Dance Company, musicians of the Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra and singer-songwriter Victor Rosso at the landmark United Palace on Broadway and West 175th Street on Wednesday 31 May 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Here is a link to the schedule for the first week: UPTOWN ART STROLL WEEK 1.
