Bienvenido!

As the achievement gap for minority students continues to widen, we can no longer stand by and watch as low-income Latino students struggle to keep up with their peers, losing their motivation and hope in the process. This is the fastest growing demographic in the nation, and in our city, and we cannot afford to see them enter adulthood unprepared to succeed in college, or in life.

Living in poverty seriously impacts a child’s ability to achieve academically. Also, a lack of early support in English literacy can put Hispanic students behind for their entire academic journey.

Operation Exodus students have a 97% high school graduation rate, well above city and national averages.

It’s clear that the odds are stacked against even the brightest students, especially in some of New York’s poorest neighborhoods, and in the communities Operation Exodus calls home.

We serve hundreds of families that lack the resources to support their child’s academic progress. We intervene early, and often, with tutoring and faith-based mentoring after-school, on Saturdays, and throughout the summer. We also believe in educating parents so they can learn how to better support their children and teens at home, regardless of language or cultural barriers. By identifying and drawing out the potential of our students they grow into lifelong learners, successful in college and in life.

Operation Exodus students have a 97% high school graduation rate, well above city and national averages.

Here are five great reasons to invest
in Operation Exodus…

1. We invest deeply, walking alongside students for their entire school journey…
2. We offer services that address both academic, and social and emotional needs…
3. We invest deeply in parents, making them partners in the educational process…
4. We work with students year-round, and on Saturdays to have maximum impact…
5. We believe that God has a plan for each and every student…” a plan for them, a hope and a future” that we can help them realize.

This is a huge undertaking, one we cannot accomplish without your help.
